By creating an account and accessing the Ace PACES platform ("the Platform"), you ("the User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register for or use the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms.
Ace PACES is an online medical education platform designed to support preparation for the Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills (PACES) and similar clinical examinations. The Platform provides simulated clinical cases, artificial intelligence (AI)-generated feedback, and educational resources for healthcare professionals and students.
All patient images, clinical photographs, and visual case material presented on this Platform are entirely generated by artificial intelligence. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or deceased, is entirely coincidental and unintentional. This Platform does not use, store, capture, or display any real patient identifiable images or real patient data whatsoever. All clinical scenarios, histories, examination findings, and investigations are fictional and created solely for educational purposes.
The content provided on the Platform is intended solely for educational and examination preparation purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You must not rely on any information or feedback provided by the Platform for clinical decision-making in the care of real patients. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or treatment.
Feedback on your clinical performance is generated by artificial intelligence and is provided for educational guidance only. Such feedback may not reflect the standards or opinions of qualified examiners and should not be considered definitive, authoritative, or a guarantee of examination success.
The Platform is intended for use by medical professionals, medical students, and candidates preparing for clinical examinations. You confirm that you are using the Platform for educational purposes appropriate to your stage of training and professional development.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date. Your subscription and account are licensed to you as an individual and are strictly non-transferable. Sharing your account between multiple people, or allowing any other person to access the Platform using your credentials, is against the policy of this Platform and may lead to suspension or permanent barring of your account without refund. You must not share your account credentials with any other person.
Your progress data, feedback records, bookmarks, flagged cases, and usage history are private to your account. Platform administrators may access aggregated and anonymised data for the purposes of monitoring engagement, maintaining the service, and improving educational content. Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
You agree not to: (a) misuse the Platform or attempt to access it through unauthorised means; (b) share your account credentials with others; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform; (d) use the Platform for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose; (e) introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code; or (f) attempt to overload, crash, or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure.
All content on the Platform — including text, AI-generated images, clinical cases, feedback, software, design, and educational materials — is the private property of Ace PACES or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and confidentiality laws. All content is provided for your personal, individual educational use only and is to be treated as private and confidential. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, share, screenshot, download, modify, or create derivative works from any content, in whole or in part, for any commercial or non-commercial purpose, without prior written permission from Ace PACES. Copying, scraping, or otherwise using any data or content from this website for commercial use without permission is strictly prohibited and may result in legal consequences, including claims for damages and injunctive relief. Unauthorised reproduction or redistribution of any content, by any means, is strictly prohibited.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI-generated content or feedback will be accurate, complete, or reliable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ace PACES and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including any reliance on educational content or AI-generated feedback. This limitation applies regardless of the cause of action and is intended to apply broadly to any and all claims, disputes, losses, or problems arising now or in the future in connection with the Platform, whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
Certain features of the Platform consume computational resources and integration credits. The Platform reserves the right to manage, monitor, and reasonably limit credit usage in accordance with its fair-use policy to ensure equitable access for all users.
Access to premium features of the Platform is provided through a paid subscription for a fixed period. All subscription fees are non-refundable, in whole or in part, regardless of whether you use the Platform during the subscription period, cancel early, or are suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that the subscription cost is payable in full and that no refunds, credits, or prorated amounts will be issued under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law. Prices, tiers, and subscription terms may change at our discretion; any such changes will apply only to future subscription periods.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, and no refund or credit of any subscription fees paid will be provided.
We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, applicable law, or operational requirements. The most current version will be made available on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Ace PACES regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in full effect. These Terms are intended to be interpreted broadly to cover any and all issues, claims, disputes, or circumstances arising from your use of the Platform, whether or not specifically addressed herein, now or in the future. No failure to enforce any right constitutes a waiver. You acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before agreeing.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Platform operates. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
